The AAA has a small but dedicated team of three staff members located in our national Canberra office that work directly with our Board and members to achieve the best outcomes for the industry.

Amanda Olthof Chief Executive Officer
Amanda has local and international experience in policy development, government relations and strategic issues and reputation management for government, and not-for-profit agricultural industry organisations.
Before joining AAA, Amanda was the Policy Director at WoolProducers Australia, Manager of Government Relations and Issues Management at Airservices Australia and worked in various policy, and issues management roles at Australian Pork Limited. She began her career with the NSW Government and later worked in agricultural development in Papua New Guinea. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics and is currently enrolled in a Master of Leadership.
She loves the passion that she sees within this industry and the many facets of alpacas that our members can be involved in – from junior paraders, to shows, exports, fibre to utilising the whole animal! She loves to hear from and meet our members

Tanya Wheeler Membership Liaison Officer
Tanya brings many years of experience in both Commonwealth and Local Government and private arena’s in Human Resources, administration and customer service roles. She’s here to make sure everything runs smoothly for our members.
Her role is to help members with issues, including eAlpaca, the website and Q-Alpaca, as well as assisting with general enquiries and merchandise sales. She is also responsible for travel arrangements for Board, Committee Members and Judges.
She is enjoying getting to know you and understanding your needs. She is currently developing processes which will result in the delivery of a high-level of customer service to all.
