VCR 101: Introduction to Alpacas.

Precision Alpacas: 1591 Baynton Road, Baynton Victoria.
This training course is ideal for anyone new to alpacas or considering purchasing alpacas.
The presenters, Taryan Mathews &Max Mathews (Precision Alpacas) & Prue Walduck (MillDuck Alpacas) have 87 combined years of alpaca experience, with Taryan being a recently qualified Australian Alpaca Judge.
The interactive day will include “theory” and “hands on” sessions covering the basic animal husbandry requirements of owning alpacas.
In addition to learning how to set up your farm, you will walk away understanding how to care for your alpacas including:
- Feed & Nutrition
- Vaccinations and worming
- Body scoring
- Toenail trimming
- Shearing
Lunch will be provided. $75 for one non-member of the Australian Alpaca Association or $50 per head for two or more non-members from the same family. $40 per person for AAA members.
This course is being run by the Victorian Central Region of the Australian Alpaca Association.
