The AAA National show is the most prestigious alpaca event in Australia. This flagship event sees the best of Australian breeding judged by top judges. The show is a great opportunity for alpaca producers to benchmark their breeding programs and to gain expert feedback on their quality of their fleece.
The 2023 National Show will be held at the Bendigo Showgrounds on the 18th, 19th and 20th of August 2023.
We are happy to announce that the two judges invited to for the halter classes include AAA judge Molly Gardner and BAS judge Roger Clarke. Many will be familiar with Molly as one of our most experienced AAA judges, but Roger will add a new flavour (or at least accent) being a well-renown UK judge invited to join us back in Australia from Northern Ireland.
The fleece classes for the pinnacle event this year will be judged by AAA judge Peter Kennedy-Gane. Peter is perhaps our most qualified judge, with recognition of his expertise throughout the world and we look forward to his involvement.
The 2023 National Show has many aspects being put together by the convenors that will make it an event of international significance, and these judges announced today are just one piece of that puzzle. Look out for further updates. It is going to be an event for all members, and one that you will not want to miss.
