VCR 101: Introduction to Alpacas.

Are you new to, or considering, alpacas – then this interactive workshop could be ideal for you.
The day will include “theory” and “hands on” sessions covering all the basic animal husbandry requirements of owning alpacas.
At the end of the day you will be confident interacting with your alpacas and know the basic animal husbandry requirements including:
- Feed & Nutrition
- Vaccinations and worming
- Body scoring
- Toenail trimming
- Farm set up
- Shearing
This workshop is being run by the Victorian Central Region of the Australian Alpaca Association with presenters Prue Walduck (MillDuck Alpacas) & Maddy Bissels (Empyrean Alpacas) having 53 combined years of experience owning and breeding alpacas.
Your workshop investment of $50 per person for AAA members and $80 per person for non-members of the Australian Alpaca Association will help you make informed decisions, maximize the welfare of your animals and increase your enjoyment.
