Alpaca of the State Awards - The Award’s history and development so far

It is great to see that the concept of Alpaca of the State has been embraced by breeders even if its implementation has attracted some criticism. The SJC and the Board hope and intend to continue the award into 2020 and to improve the rules and systems for calculating it by considering and incorporating all constructive suggestions.


MEDIA RELEASE: Nations alpacas heading to Canberra

The Australian Alpaca Nationals, the most prestigious alpaca event in the country, is returning to Canberra after many years and for the first time the entire event is open to the public over Friday 23 – Sunday 25 August 2019 at Exhibition Park in Canberra. This flagship event will see the best of Australian breeding and alpaca products on show, in-front of the industry’s top judges.


Build the Herd Sale

With the end of the financial year coming up, the AAA board are pleased to announce the "Build the Herd Sale".
From now until June 30 members will be able to register their animals at a 20 per cent discount on the normal animal registration fees.

Public holiday notice
