Amid the confusion that surrounds many facets of our life at the moment, we would like you to know that our planning for the National Show in Melbourne continues and, subject to any direction to the contrary, the show is still planned to go ahead on 28 – 30 August.
The Board, in consultation with the convenors, intends to review the decision in late June, primarily taking into account the health and welfare of our members based on the situation as it stands at that time. As you all know, that situation and available information is currently changing on a daily basis but we all hope for a greater level of stability and positivity by the end of June. This review will also be combined with a watchful eye on the financial commitment required to proceed.
Meanwhile, the convenors continue with the behind the scenes details to prepare for the show. This naturally includes fund-raising activities to support the show and we will continue to accept your sponsorship commitment with payment to be collected after July 1st, when entries open.
All being well, we can all get together again in August. Mark the dates on your calendar!
